Form of workProgrammed Training Services in partnership with Yarra Ranges Council are seeking highly motivated individuals to apply for the Parks and Gardens Apprenticeship.
This role is open to 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentices.
This is a great opportunity to learn a trade throughout this 4-year apprenticeship while studying towards for a Certificate III in Parks & Gardens.

As an apprentice you will be:
- Committed to safety
- Have a genuine interest in gardening/horticulture
- Hold a driver's licence
- Willing to learn and able to take instruction
- Physically fit
Duties may involve but are not limited to:
- Maintain park and park assets
- Control plant pests, diseases and disorders
- Mowing, litter collection, planting, herbicide/chemical application, weeding, mulching, pruning
- Tree maintenance and minor structure repair.
- Plant and maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flower/plant beds and maintain hard landscaping
- Troubleshoot irrigation systems
