The Cyberworthiness Technical Quality Assurance Officer will support the technical assurance implementation of the Defence Cyberworthiness System within the Cyber Assessment and Authorisation Directorate within Cyber Command. You will undertake specialist research and data analysis, conduct reviews and perform procedural and clerical, support work to achieve results.As the Cyberworthiness Technical Quality Assurance Officer, you are accountable under broad direction to assist in the development and implementation of the Defence Cyberworthiness System as part of an integrated workforce. You are accountable to have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making, Defence's mission and policy requirements.Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and interest in continuous improvement will see you succeed in this role.As part of the Cyberworthiness Operations Team, you will have a unique opportunity to positively contribute to the strategic shaping of Defence Cyberworthiness Coordination Office function.About our Team
The Cyber Assessment and Authorisation Directorate within Cyber Command is responsible for assessing the cyber security risks and providing assurance for the Cyber Domain. A priority initiative in the Directorate is the development and implementation of the ‘Defence Cyberworthiness System’ designed to assess the cyberworthiness maturity level of Defence networks, systems and platforms in order to quantify and identify cyber related threats to Defence capability. Cyber Command is a mix of APS, ADF and contracted personnel, who work together in a One Defence mindset to support the war fighter and Defence outcomes.Our Ideal Candidate
As an APS 5Cyberworthiness Technical Quality Assurance Officer, you will be a team player with Cyber/Policy/Quality assurance background, an eagerness to learn, detail orientated and be able to prioritise tasks. Your role includes:
- Good understanding of various cyber security frameworks and standards (ISM, PSPF, Essential 8, Secure Controls Framework, ISO 27001 etc.).
- Ability to provide advice on Quality Assurance processes and business improvement activities.
- Build and sustain relationships with team members, stakeholders and actively participate in teamwork and group activities.
- Respond to operational, procedural and administrative related enquiries and apply the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to provide advice and services.
- Reviewing and clarifying data and information provide input into the preparation of written submissions, briefs, inquiry outcomes, corporate reports, minutes and other correspondence for Defence and external stakeholders.
- Take the initiative to suggest improvements to Quality Assurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate performance against best practice.
