The Role
As a member of the Quality team, you will be accountable under limited direction to perform governance, assurance, auditing and corporate reporting activities in support of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. You will have an understanding of the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 Quality Management System requirements and develop and maintain knowledge of relevant process, products and equipment which will be applied in a proactive audit and assurance program. You will identify and define issues and report on non-conformances to ensure accuracy and effectiveness of internal processes. You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to formalise your findings through excellent report writing.
This position is required to:
• Have an understanding of the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 Quality Management requirements;
• Perform moderately complex assurance activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate the ability to interpret, collate, research and analyse information to conduct audits and reporting activities based on legislation, policy and procedures;
• Be accountable for organising your workflow and the accurate and timely completion of work within specified timeframes and possess the ability to make independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility;
• Have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, successful collaboration and effective communication within a team environment to achieve quality outcomes;
• Be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
About our Team
The Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation. Our Ideal Candidate
As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate experience conducting audits in a certified Quality Management System and be able to formalise your findings through excellent report writing. You will have sound decision-making skills and judgement, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement including the ability to communicate with influence. You will be accountable to set work priorities, providing clear and consistent communication, manage workflow and show judgement, intelligence and common sense.
You will promote the Quality Management System by building and sustaining positive relationships with team members and actively participate in team and group activities. You will be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. You will be accountable to contribute towards self-improvement and professional development.
