Pay range: $50.00 - $60.00 p/h ex super

About the role:

The APS 5Security Vetting and Administrative Officer will be responsible for providing Security Vetting services and operations, customer services, capability and coordination, appeals and support and industry liaison.

They will need to apply the highest level of flexibility, adaptability, resourcefulness and initiative and have demonstrable experience in being able to operate in situations of uncertainty and ambiguity to ensure legislative and operational outcomes are achieved.

Duties:

• Pre-assessment activities, such as triaging and prioritissing the coordination and review of relevant data and documents
• Coordinate within a multidisciplinary team at level to ensure optimal outcomes for complex case management.
• Utilise legal advice to interpret legislation against complex cases and translate this into risk management practices. 
• Support the development of risk management processes that underpin the drafting of reports to inform the Director in framing a recommendation to the delegate.

Required experience/skills:

• Experience working in a case management environment including assessing, treating, escalating, monitoring and managing individual applications.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse information.
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use the Microsoft Office suite of Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
