This role offers a distinctive opportunity to contribute as a foundational member of the Headquarters. The position plays a vital role in the success of the Land Combat College in supporting its people, the Commander and Army capability. As the ICT Service Manager, you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex Information Technology service provision work within an integrated workforce. You will be accountable to ensure you have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
Situated within Patterson Hall, Duntroon Garrison, Canberra, the Formation Information Technology Security Manager will operate with the uniformed Communications Officer, and dispersed team, directly supporting Land Combat College’s headquarters function.
About our Team
The role of the Land Combat College is to be the conduit between our higher headquarters (Headquarters Forces Command) and the relevant subordinate Training Establishments. Land Combat College and its subordinate units are the Army’s foundational institutions responsible for enabling, supporting and orientating the ab-initio soldier enlistment, officer commissioning program, individual initial employment and specialist training and career development courses. The Headquarters Land Combat College team is a small, motivated and experienced cohort.

The Land Combat College is seeking a highly motivated person, with a service before self-orientation. You will be required to work both collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision. You should be adaptable, flexible and comfortable during change. You must possess a high degree of digital literacy, and have previous Information Technology Service Management experience (or experience in managing the delivery of Information Technology with and through enterprise Information Technology stakeholders). You must have knowledge and experience and/or the ability to quickly learn about both civilian and military Information Technology and Operational Technology.
This role also requires strong analytical and administrative competencies to meet the unique demands of the position; exceptional written and verbal communication skills; a keen attention to detail; and an ability to establish, foster and maintain collaborative relationships across the Land Combat College, the Defence enterprise and external stakeholders.
