The Portfolio Management Branch has an exciting opportunity for multiple APS6 positions within the Directorate of Prioritisation and the Directorate of Reporting and Analysis. The Directorate of Prioritisation is responsible for the prioritisation of portfolio activities in alignment with the strategic direction of the Department and priorities of the Group. Within the Directorate of Prioritisation, attendance at governance forums and providing secretariat support of portfolio lead governance is required.
As an APS 6 in the Directorate of Prioritisation your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Prioritisation of portfolio activities in alignment with the strategic direction of the Department and priorities of the Group;
- Development, implementation and ongoing management of a prioritisation model supported by ServiceNow;
- Coordination of Portfolio tasks, attendance at governance forums, secretariat support of portfolio led governance and oversight of key portfolio deliverables;
- Delivery of scenario planning to support decision making;
- Engagement with key stakeholders to understand relevant priorities and ensure prioritised activities are progressed through the Defence Digital workflow process; and
- Front door to the DDG Portfolio Management Branch, including management of the Portfolio Management group inbox, webpage and information flow between projects, programs and the portfolio
As an APS 6 in the Directorate of Reporting & Analysis team your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing analysis of project performance through various reporting artefacts,
- Interrogate and evaluate data to perform systematic analysis and draw accurate conclusions, identify alternative courses of action to resolve problems
- Work collaboratively and pervasively with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Delivering accurate, timely and high quality analysis and advice, through the provision of regular and adhoc reporting to the Defence Digital Group Executive; and
- Support the department in undertaking analysis and shaping advice for senior leaders and colleagues across Defence
The Portfolio Management Branch (PMB) sits within the Group Operations Division in Defence Digital Group and has been established to strengthen performance across the Group by providing improved reporting and strategic insights to supporting data led decision making.The Portfolio Branch is responsible for prioritising and optimising resources, providing support and assurance to projects and programs and building a culture of trust, transparency and continuous improvement.
