The Role
Are you high performing APS 6Secretariat Officer with demonstrated experience in providing secretariat support services to high-level or expert committees, looking for your next 12-month non-ongoing contract and available asap?

Duties
- Scheduling and coordinating attendance for monthly REC meetings
- Conducting high-level quality reviews of Research Ethics applications
- Providing/facilitating high-level verbal and written subject matter expert advice to promote compliance with international guidelines, national guidelines, the conditions of ethical approval, research integrity and ethically approved protocols
- Developing and implementing procedural, operational, corporate, administrative and business support documentation and outcomes, consistent with business requirements and with minimum guidance
- Managing the timely distribution of Research Ethics applications for Committee member reviews
- Contributing to/developing reporting artefacts to explain the status, progress and results for ethical applications and business projects.
- Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and communication, by negotiating effectively
- Managing and delegating incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Organising and maintaining robust data records and filing systems to manage ethics applications and outcomes
Do You Have?
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of secretariat support services to high- level or expert committees, including managing the meeting event and submissions cadence
- A 'can-do' attitude and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment to achieve results, whilst managing demanding lead times and competing priorities
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise your workload and support other colleague to achieve business objectives
- Well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal competencies to capably provide and assure quality outputs.
- A commitment to service underpinned by a desire to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders and colleagues
- Knowledge or the ability to gain knowledge in the application of human Research Ethics policies and guidelines.
- Experience working with Electronic Documents and Records Management Systems (EDRMS), and Research and Ethics Compliance Software will be well- regarded, but not essential.
