Key responsibilities:
- Lead compliance and investigations for disability service providers, ensuring adherence to the organisations Act, Rules, and relevant legislation.
- Conduct monitoring and investigations to prevent fraud against the organisations, recommend outcomes, and collaborate with government agencies on quality and safeguarding risks.
- Assess briefings, administrative decisions, and statutory powers used by other staff.
- Implement and monitor the impact of regulatory action, including large-scale disruption activities.
- Engage in cross-functional strategies addressing compliance issues across the organisation Commission’s functions.
- Assist providers and workers in understanding obligations and addressing non-compliance issues.
- Work locally with provider groups to promote quality improvement for systemic issues.
- Undertake risk-based research and analysis for compliance and investigations.
- Prepare complex correspondence, reports, briefings, and submissions.
- Contribute to compliance promotion and education campaigns.
- Plan and monitor work processes for a small team, setting performance indicators.
- Conduct interviews, prepare statements, and manage evidential material.
- Collaborate with Legal Officers and advisers on compliance responses.
- Oversee compliance and investigations processes maintaining independence and professionalism.
- Collaborate with other agencies, referring matters under relevant jurisdictional law.
- Execute delegations with consideration for good administrative decision-making.
- Provide guidance to other staff.
