APS1-APS2 Event Project Officer
- 12-month initial contract with the possibility of 6-month extension

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide services to electors in a patient, compassionate, and supportive manner.
- Issue votes in accordance with policy, procedures, and ballot paper principles.
- Monitor the ballot box and manage the queue.
- Assist with end-of-day activities.
- Understand and follow relevant processes and procedures as directed.
- Undertake administrative and clerical tasks.
- Provide briefings, demonstrations, and training to team members.
- Manage and support staff in performing various duties as requested by AEC staff.
- Keep ballot papers secure.
- Identify and escalate issues as they arise.
- Assist with scrutinies (counting of ballot papers) on or after voting day.
- Assist with the decommissioning of the outposted centre.
- Perform additional duties or assume responsibilities of functions as directed from time to time.
- Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by the election schedule.
