Our client is a federal government agency based centrally in Robina. Due to their growing demands and workload, they are seeking an APS3 Participant Support Officer to join their team on a 12-month contract.
Your new role
As the APS3 Participant Support Officer, you will assist participants in person and over the phone by handling enquiries, appointment setting, making assessments on eligibility for funding, and general administration support to the wider team. Your role will involve:
- Managing and resolving participant matters
- Providing counter / reception support for the local office including participant enquiries in the self-help kiosk and online
- Resolving customer enquiries, providing information and referring customers where needed
- Managing the team email inbox, appointments and phone enquiries
- Coordinating appointments
- Undertaking research and investigation activities
- Receiving and recording complaints and feedback
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful as the APS3 Participant Support Officer, you will have
- Previous experience in a similar role - reception, customer service, administration (minimum of 2 years)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships
- The ability to manage and deal with challenging conversations and behaviours
- Australian Citizenship is a must
