APS4 Business Support Officer 

• Initial 12-month contract with a possible 12-month extension available
• $38-$45 an hour
• Australian citizenship required 

Our Federal Government client is seeking an APS4 Business Support Officer who has strong verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with financial and governance standards for DMFS events and activities.
• Provide administrative support, including records management, minute taking, and task coordination for the Area Office.
• Undertake research and analysis activities, applying a good understanding of legislative frameworks, government decision-making, and Defence policies.
• Organize workflow, set work priorities, and develop local procedures.
• Occasionally work outside standard hours to attend events and functions with Defence families, with some travel required.

Ideally, you will have:

• Good understanding of Defence lifestyle and knowledge of the local community.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
