The OpportunityThese role are initially offered as a contract for 12 months but with permanent potential. As these are vacant roles, the likelihood of transitioning to a permanent position is very high. You will be working as part of a finance team where your main responsibility is bank reconciliation.
This is a customer-facing role with a wide variety of duties and a need for high accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness in completing tasks. It’s a great opportunity to get your foot in the door to federal government and gain government working experience, and along with growth opportunities.
The RoleAs part of a close-knit finance team, your key responsibilities include:
- Performing accounts receivable, month-end, and journals entries
- Manage travel system
- Performing some administrative duties such as mailbox management and processing stationery orders
- Conducting daily bank reconciliations and managing customer prepayment accounts
- Upholding meticulous records management practices, ensuring the proper filing and storage of financial documents
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer or Finance Officer who has a few years working experience in the private sector or public sector in Australia. You will have excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are equally important as being able to work within the team will be critical to your success in this role. You will be energetic and willing to grow within the team.

Salary / Rate- $66k – $71k + 15.4% super.
