Indigeco is assisting a major Federal Government agency in sourcing multiple APS5 Case CoordinatorsAffirmative Measures to work for a 12 + 12-month contract.
You will be part of a group that is responsible for the administration of a national scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse. The Scheme is a high priority for the Government and the Department, with the ongoing commitment to continually improve outcomes for survivors. The Scheme interacts with survivors to provide an outcome that can make a real difference in people’s lives. The Department is committed to the success of the Scheme and developing high-performing staff who provide empathic, survivor-focused, trauma-informed support.
All applicants must have a valid BASELINE clearance (or an ability to obtain one) and must identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander to be eligible to apply for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply the Scheme for Institutional Child Sexual Abuse Act 2018 and relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines to progress applications.
Provide culturally appropriate case management support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander survivors aged 55 years and older, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander survivors who request support through the team.
Make and receive calls to applicants and their nominees using trauma-informed principles.
Under limited direction, be accountable for organising workflow and escalating risks and issues when needed.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Apply legislation, policies, procedures, and information management requirements.
Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships.
Communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
Code application information in Case Manager, keeping accurate and comprehensive records.
Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Be resilient, persistent, result-orientated, and accountable for decisions and actions.
