Beaumont&Beaumont are seeking an APS5 equivalent Indigenous Service Delivery Case Coordinator to work within a Commonwealth Government Department.
The Indigenous Service Delivery Stream (ISDS) provides culturally appropriate case management support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander survivors aged 55 years and older, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander survivors who request support through the ISDS team.
Key duties include:
- Provide specialised (culturally sensitive) end-to-end progression of applications, undertaking relevant actions to progress them from receipt to outcome.
- Provide support through all stages of the application to assist applicants.
- Working as part of a team to manage a case load of sensitive and complex applications.
- Communicate with the applicant using trauma-informed principles.
Key skills:
- Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities, including communicating in a culturally competent manner.
- Understanding of contemporary and historical issues facing Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander People.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding, communicates effectively and takes a client centered approach.
- Ability to interpret complex information and identify key aspects to support validation, assessment, and recommendation processes.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reading, writing and talking about applications, as well as the processing and recording of information.
To be eligible for this role, you must be willing to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance with the Australian Government Vetting Agency.
