About the Team:
The Service Design and Improvement Branch is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve internal service delivery processes and systems to provide better experiences for participants. The branch aims to improve the participant experience by identifying process improvements, then designing and delivering solutions to make improvements.
About the role:
The APS5 Test Analyst will provide technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to mid to complex problems. It is responsible to coordinate and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) system enhancements, work with a small test team, engage with stakeholders and provide progress reports. You will have reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy, in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the functions.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Executing UAT in business systems, portals and mobile applications.
- Creating test cases, test data and creating manual and automated test scripts.
- Supporting acceptance criteria testing and system integration testing.
- Reviewing technical documentation, identifying dependencies and risks related to testing.
- Managing the overall experience of the UAT testers as vehicle for business readiness.
- Working closely with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), investigating and triaging defects raised by business users.
- Reviewing user stories, technical designs and wireframes and preparing test cases which align to the coverage matrix.
- Contributing to post implementation and post incident reviews.
- Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- The Agency Worker Screening Check. This is only applicable to some positions within the Agency that require the occupant to have access to classified Australian Government information.
- Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work within and across teams, the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
