Aboriginal Hostels Limited’s (AHL) vision is to improve the quality of life and opportunities for First Nations People through their national network of hostels.
AHL hostels are a home away from home for people needing to travel for access to services or for work and education opportunities. They provide comfortable, culturally safe and affordable accommodation, three meals a day and a welcoming environment for those who stay.
The Opportunity
With 42 hostels located nationwide, each day AHL provides a place to stay for 1,200 men, women and children.
In order to continue to make a positive impact on First Nations people and communities, there are over 300 AHL team members in a wide range of roles from working in the hostels themselves to the head office in Canberra.
This opportunity will see you contribute to the operations of the wider team by providing a variety of Workforce Reporting functions.
The Role
Reporting to the Assistant Director Learning and Development, you will work in a small team in a collaborative manner to deliver effectively, timely and accurate HR Reporting, analytics and insights.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing accurate workforce data and reports to external and internal corporate bodies
- Assisting in the preparation of documents, reports and executive briefings
- Providing responsive, effective, and proactive advice on a range of policy and strategic project issues
- Research, analysing and interpreting information from various sources to inform policy considerations
People with a strong understanding of First Nations histories and cultures are well suited to this opportunity. You will need to be able to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations peoples.
You will also have:
- Demonstrated experience working with data, in a Workforce Reporting role or similar
- The ability to translate complex HR data into actionable insights
- Professionalism and integrity when managing sensitive information
- The ability to organise work independently while managing competing priorities
- Experience with Power BI or other visualisation reporting tools will be highly regarded
Salary / Rate
This role is a fulltime, permanent opportunity and can be based in AHL’s offices in Canberra or Brisbane.
- $75,040 - $79,671 + 15.4% Super
- Pending the outcome of the AHL’s Enterprise Agreement, employees will receive salary increases
