Project Details:The Governance and Development Section, within the Streamlining Grants Branch, is developing and managing a new Centralised Grants Model as part of the Department’s Grant Administration Reform Project.Assistant Director EL1 – Governance and Development
Position Requirements:The section has the following responsibilities.
- Coordinating and developing the new model
- Oversighting the implementation of the new model
- Managing initial workforce assessment and identifying recruitment needs
- Change management
- Project management
- Secretariate for Project Board
Key Responsibilities:The Assistant Director duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the director in driving the development, change and implementation of a new centralised model for the administration of grants in the department.
- Leading a geographically dispersed team, maximising system tools
- Ability to engage with and build trusted partnerships with key stakeholders
- Contributing to Branch and Division culture and adherence to the APS Values and Code of Conduct.
- Other duties in line with the EL1 Work Level Standard as directed.
- Contributing to and assist with general reporting to the Branch Head, on the progress of the project, as required.
Key Capabilities:- Background or skills in Project management are highly desirable.
- Experiences in Grants administration or management are highly desirable.
- Strong relationship management skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid team, managing staff remotely and in state and territory offices.
APS 6 Project Officer - Governance and Development
Key Responsibilities:The Project Officer duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Section in the development, change and implementation of a new centralised model for the administration for grants in the department.
- Working within a geographically dispersed team, maximising system tools to fully contribute to team function and achieve project goals.
Key Capabilities:- Experiences in Grants highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a hybrid team, with other staff remotely and in state and territory offices.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results, manage multiple priorities, and respond flexibly.
