Our federal government client is seeking an APS6 Procurement Officer who would assist and manage procurement arrangements for the branch.
Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication, negotiation, and consultation.
• Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with legislation, policies, and procedures to achieve value-for-money procurement outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of contract management plans, monitor performance, and negotiate variations through effective supplier relationships.
• Provide expert advice, information, and guidance on procurement matters to agency staff, promoting good governance and best practices.
• Identify, mitigate, and escalate procurement risks to ensure organizational compliance and maximize business opportunities.
• Educate and persuade business area stakeholders on procurement processes and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, and agency policies and procedures.

Ideally, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in government procurement and contract management.
• Ability to learn and use Financial Management Information Software (e.g., SAP).
• Strong analytical skills with proven attention to detail.
• Experience in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
