Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Project Officer
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Length: Start – 03/06/2024, End – 31/12/2024, with option to extend up to 12 months

Statement of work:
The APS 6 Project Officer in the Devices Reforms Taskforce supports Project Leads and is responsible for contributing to the design and implementation of medical device reform projects and drafting project material and other written communication as required.
- Participate in the design, development, consultation, and implementation of the Agency’s reform work and be proactive in identifying opportunities in improving internal and external projects as required which apply to medical devices regulation.
- Draft and maintain project artifacts and contribute to reporting documentation.
- Plan and manage workload, in accordance with strategic objectives.
- Maintain a robust data system and reporting framework to be able to provide high quality responses about the status of individual projects, multiple legislative packages, and several strategic plans/reviews at any time.
- Provision of high-quality paperwork, preparation/organization and prompt resolution of project issues and actively ensuring actions are completed to a high standard and on time.
- Providing coordination, governance, reporting frameworks, and the written work produced for the Medical Devices Program reform work.
- Working with project leads to build capability in project management, including planning, objective setting, timeline management, and risk identification and mitigation.
- Drafting of ministerial briefs, other parliamentary work, along with written and verbal advice to external stakeholders.
- Manage and supervision of secretariat functions within the MDR projects team.
