APS6 Regulations Officer

APS6 | Multiple Positions | Mascot | 12-month contract

Your new company 
This government organisation is seeking multiple APS6 Regulation Officers to join their team for a 12-month contract within The Compliance and Enforcement Division (CED, the division) within the Biosecurity and Compliance Group. 
Your new role 
The Compliance and Enforcement Division (CED, the division) within the Biosecurity and Compliance Group delivers regulatory outcomes that protect Australia from risks to our biosecurity and trade systems. Your duties will include but not limited to: 

• Developing cargo profiles.
• Providing technical support.
• Reviewing data.
• Delivering continuous improvement. Maintaining strong internal and external relationships.

What you'll need to succeed 

Proven experience in risk management or law enforcement.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of biosecurity regulatory environment, including current electronic & physical processes used to regulate various import pathways.

Demonstrated the ability to supervise and manage staff and influence a high-performing team to produce high quality work within agreed timeframes.

Effective analytical skills in gathering and analysing information and complex data to make informed decisions, flexibility and an ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment with shifting priorities.  

Familiarity with border operations and border systems is highly desirable.

Must be an Australian Citizen.

Baseline Clearance is required.

• $56 - $64 per hour plus super.

• Full-time in the office for now. Hybrid work will be discussed when on the job.
