Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Senior Costing Officer. Section 26 transfers preferred but non ongoing will be considered (6-12 months). About the role: The Costing Directorate will provide cost estimation support in the continued development (in conjunction with our UK & US partners) of a Whole of Program & Whole of Life costing for the acquisition, sustainment, and disposal of nuclear-powered submarines, including:Operate and update the Agency’s Cost model (potentially joint and / or tri-lateral models, if required).Support the divisions and branches in costing.Provide strategic advice and contestability on the planned activities, cost and schedule estimates provided by the Agency’s Divisions and Branches.Provide reliable, reasonable and timely cost estimate input into Agency Government submissions, eg Cabinet Submissions.Liaise with Internal and External stakeholders in relation to submissions and supporting cost estimates.Assure and manage project programming adjustments at each budget updateExtract, compile and assure relevant program cost estimates and financial information from the cost models and corporate financial systems in preparation for Senate Estimates Briefs.Promote better costing practices that align with Department’s Cost Estimate Standards across Agency divisions and branches through consultations.Provide Cost Recovery Policy.Security Requirements:The minimum-security requirement is a NV1.
