You will be joining a large, key Government department carving the future of employment, skills and training opportunities for all Australians.
The Role:
You’ll be joining a friendly and collaborative graphic design team in a large, central Department. You will support brand management and produce industry standard design services for a range of channels and mediums (including print and distribution), to support business outcomes.
This is a 12-month non-ongoing position with the possibility of further extension. An S26 transfer will be considered for current APS employees.
Role Responsibilities:
- Delivery of high-quality graphic design products for print and digital outputs.
- Maintain successful relationships with internal stakeholders and liaise with external suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
- Mentor junior staff and maintain a high-level awareness of trends and developments in graphic design.
- Help to promote design and technical excellence and efficiencies by sharing knowledge and practices within the team.
- Assist the Design Studio Lead with special projects, as required.
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Expert knowledge of Government brand guidelines and principles as well as an extensive knowledge of Government accessibility requirements.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop in particular) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint and Excel in particular).
- A minimum of five years professional experience in graphic design – preferably in a Government setting
- A relevant tertiary qualification
