About the role
Reporting to the Assistant Director | Design Studio Lead, the APS6 Senior Graphic Designer will support brand management and produce industry standard design services for a range of channels and mediums (including print and distribution), to support business outcomes.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Delivery of high-quality graphic design products for print and digital outputs.
- Expert knowledge of Government brand guidelines and principles as well as an extensive knowledge of Government accessibility requirements.
- Maintain successful relationships with internal stakeholders and liaise with external suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.
- Mentor junior staff and maintain a high-level awareness of trends and developments in graphic design. Help to promote design and technical excellence and efficiencies by sharing knowledge and practices within the team.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop in particular) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint and Excel in particular).
- Manage multiple deadlines and show attention to detail and quality.
- Assist the Design Studio Lead with special projects, as required.
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of five years professional experience in graphic design
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Relevant experience in the delivery of communication or creative services; and
- Proven track record and experience in a similar role.
Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
- Successful candidate will be required to have the security clearance required for this role.
