6 month non-ongoing position available for Senior Media Officer within the Fed Government. Baseline clearance

Your new company

Join a fast-paced and dynamic media team within a Federal Government department located in Canberra. You and your team will be providing media advice and services to the broader department and engaging with journalists and media outlets to support the department's objectives.

Your new role

Your strong written communication skills and excellent attention-to-detail will see you creating high-quality media products, preparing talking points, writing speeches and editorials. Your ability to communicate relationally will see you developing key relationships with media outlets and negotiating with key stakeholders. You will work on a rostered system during business hours and have the ability to work flexibly on occasional "out-of-scope" projects. In addition, you will have the opportunity to support and mentor team members.

What you'll need to succeed

An interest and experience in working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with key attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to show good judgement and organisation under pressure
Baseline clearance or the ability to obtain

This role is a 6 month non-ongoing APS6 position and sits within the APS6 salary banding with 15.4% super.
