Our client is seeking to engage an APS6 Senior Media Officer on a contract for 12 months, with 2x12 months extension option.

About the role The Senior Media Officer operates within the Agency’s Communication and Marketing Branch to develop and implement strategic media and communications materials to support Agency activities, products and strategic narrative. The success candidate will have demonstrated experience and ability in:developing and executing effective media and communication strategies crafting narratives and positive media storiesmanaging multiple priorities while working effectively under pressure in a changing environmentbuilding strong relationships with stakeholdersgenerating strategic content for various internal and external channels and stakeholdersestablishing transparent communication processesanalysing, evaluating and reporting media engagement metricsworking collaboratively within a small team of specialists.

To be successful in the role, the candidate will require:relevant tertiary qualifications and more than 5 years’ experience working in the media sectora detailed understanding of the current media landscapeoutstanding organisational, interpersonal and communication skillsan excellent work ethic, including self-manage and progressing tasks independently. Eligibility Requirements:Ability to obtain and maintain national police check. Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
