Form of workCapital Recruit are currently working with this small government agency to recruit an APS6 Senior Secretariat Officer for an initial 12 month Non-ongoing contract. This is a fast paced environment that requires an individual with high-level administrative, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills; who operates at their best in a dynamic and quickly changing environment; contributes to team capability and culture; has strong attention to detail; and can manage multiple activities and competing priorities.
Duties
- Provide high- level secretariat, event and technical services
- Develop and maintain key strategic relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
- Support effective corporate governance and management assurance practices
- Prepare written material including correspondence, input to briefings, meeting minutes, agendas etc.
- Develop, update and maintain secretariat guidelines and procedures
- Communicate, educate and provide advice to staff
Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in a secretariat role within the APS
- Experience building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
- Clear and strong communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
- Minimum baseline security clearance is required
