The Opportunity

As the Aquatics Operations Team Leader, you’ll provide a fantastic experience for all visitors to the BARC. You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Aquatics Team including pool safety, facility presentation and maintenance. You’ll also supervise team performance and take on rostering, recruitment and ongoing training of team members.

Using your strong leadership ability and experience in Aquatic environments, you will ensure all processes are in place so our employees and visitors can remain safe and enjoy our aquatic areas. You will be influential in expanding our customer base and use your knowledge of aquatics to facilitate our growth and accessibility for our local communities.

This is a full time, permanent position and is based at the Bairnsdale Aquatics and Recreation Centre.

Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)

• Demonstrate significant experience in aquatic industry.
• Extensive operations experience, at both indoor and outdoor pools.
• Ability to liaise with all staff, customers, and suppliers in a professional manner.
• Ability to make judgement calls on the proper and safe us of chemicals.
• Demonstrate significant understanding of strong customer focus.
• Commitment to improving and growing the centre.
• A current, valid Victorian Driver’s licence.

If successful, you will need to obtain a current Police Check, Employee Working with Children Check, undergo a pre-employment medical assessment, and hold the qualifications listed in the position description.

You must also be legally able to work in Australia.
