Magena Fabrications is a South Australian based metal & steel fabrications company. We specialise in the supply, fabrication & erection of metal & steelworks, catering to both small scale and larger projects.
We are looking for an Architectural Draftsperson to join our team. The role will see you working both independently and with our other drafters, reporting to the project managers, Senior Consultant & Director. The role is full-time hours, working 38 hours per week, with overtime work provided when necessary, and based in Regency Park, SA.
Main Tasks:
- Collaborate with architects to create detailed and accurate architectural drawings, plans, and schematics.
- Creating detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings using AutoCAD.
- Creating fabrications drawings with cut lists.
- Managing drawing revisions.
- Managing multiple projects at once.
- Communicate with architects, engineers and builders to incorporate knowledge gained into drawings.
- Identifying and communicating potential variations and design problems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, building codes, and regulations to ensure all drawings comply with relevant guidelines.
- Review and verify the accuracy of drawings to minimize errors and discrepancies.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure that drawings align with project specifications and adhere to established standards.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Minimum a relevant Diploma or equivalent in Architecture, and at least a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the industry.
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
- Minimum 3 years' experience with AutoCAD.
- A positive and professional attitude towards clients and co-workers.
- Hold an attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in drafting metalwork and structural steel works.
- Experience leading a team of drafters preferrable.

Annual salary will be between $70,000.00 to $80.000,00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
