We are seeking an Architectural Draftsperson of 1+ years of volume home builder experience to join our motivated and driven Design & Planning Team. In this role you will be working on all facets of the building design process.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to;
- Accurately using AutoCAD to provide concept and working drawings for clients and the estimating team; within required time frames
- Liaising with engineers, councils, developers and clients to obtain relevant documentation and approvals
- Ensure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect client and council requirements as well as in accordance with Dechellis Homes' building standard
The successful candidate will have the following qualities and skills;
- A Diploma in Architectural Building Design and Drafting
- Demonstrated experience in drafting, preferably within a volume building environment - advantageous
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCC 2022 Building Regulations and Australian Standards in residential construction
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to communicate effectively and work within a team; as well as able to work independently
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong work ethic, with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving
- An understanding of the construction process, terminology and documentation
Previous training and/or education in Australian Residential Drafting or Architecture is essential for this role.
