Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team at JJ Drafting Australia. As an Architectural Technician, you will work closely with architects and engineers to transform design concepts into detailed construction drawings and specifications. Your technical expertise and strong attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring accurate and high-quality project documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers, and other professionals to develop construction drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications.
• Conduct site visits and assist with site analysis, measurements, and documentation.
• Prepare and revise architectural drawings using CAD software and other industry-standard tools.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and contractors.
• Review and evaluate design proposals to identify potential issues and provide practical solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Archicad, and other architectural design software.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Good communication, phone skills and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
