The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to join the AMA Collision Group in North Queensland.
This is a permanent, full-time role, hybrid position with state and interstate travel at times. You will be provided with opportunities for growth, stability, and security as part of the bigger AMA Group.
The Area Manager role is responsible for the commercial performance and profitability of all sites within their designated area (Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton and Caloundra) through the leadership of Centre Managers (directly) and sites teams (indirectly).
With a proven history of profitable area sales growth, safety focus and superior customer service delivery together with commercial and financial expertise, the Area Manager provides contemporary leadership and coaching across their designated area, promoting a ‘can-do’ attitude and a high-performance team environment.
Responsibilities
- Rigorously enforcing and enhancing AMA Group’s safety culture;
- Developing the area’s business strategy and executing to achieve financial and other objectives;
- Developing and executing a service strategy with a focus on AMA Group’s market differentiation;
- Building strong key stakeholder relationships with Centre Manager’s, Production Manager’s and internal team members;
- Developing team members through formal and informal training and development opportunities while managing people-related matters in line with AMA standards;
- In conjunction with the allocated Finance Manager & Performance Coach, prepare budgets, deliver monthly reporting and participate in business performance reviews;
- Review and enhance operating processes to further improve operating efficiencies and cost control opportunities and
- Ensuring compliance to client and legislative requirements.
- Other duties as reasonably directed.
Ideal Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership ability developed within the Automotive/ Collision or service-based industry
- Strategic orientation & proven commercial acumen
- Previous experience managing P&L
