The Company:

This established Hotel Group spans multiple, well known, large turnover venues within the Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley, with a variety of dining and entertainment offerings.

They are seeking an Area Operation Manager who will be responsible for supporting the teams across 8 venues in the portfolio across the Newcastle/Hunter Region

They pride themselves on creating a culture within the team that reflects to our patrons, whilst consistently achieving profitable growth by establishing lifestyle venues and delivering an exceptional total customer experience focusing on all areas a venue can offer.

The Role:

- Your role will involve working in and around the venues to support the teams to trade and succeed day to day, week to week to the strategic plan of the area.
- You will lead by example and not be afraid to get your hands dirty. Working to high standards with venues and staff.
- Assist and support venues with recruitment and retention.
- You would have focus on liquor and gaming licencing and compliance, accommodation, incident reporting, repairs and Maintenace and upkeep of our venues amongst other roles.
- You would be reporting into the area's upper management & executive team.
- This role is a weekend and night role working with the teams during their busy sessions and assisting in the heat of service. Wednesday to Sunday roster.


Skills and Experience needed:

- Previous experience within a similar role in area management leading, managing, and inspiring teams within the hospitality industry.
- Strong computer and systems skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- You have a passion for developing people, and the ability to nurture and spot top talent and ensure that right people are in the right roles at the right time.
- Strong knowledge of hotel compliance, OH&S, and relevant metrics.
- Exceptional communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-driven with high personal accountability and a desire to achieve greatness.
- Must have valid driver's license for NSW.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
