The Opportunity
Due to a change in structure, our client is looking for an experienced Area Production Manager with a background in manufacturing to join their team based at their Caboolture site. This is a critical role for the business and will oversee four leaders and roughly 40 staff across two teams.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist in the development and implementation of production strategies across the business as well as the continual monitoring of KPI’s to ensure performance is up to standard
- Lead and manage two teams, focussing on building a strong working relationship with the teams, while at the same time ensuring business efficiency
- Assist with the ongoing development and support of those teams to ensure staff are given career growth opportunities
- Ensure compliance is met across the board and collaborate with multiple departments to streamline workflow and improve business continuity
About You
- Have a background in manufacturing and people management
- You will be a strong people leader with demonstratable EQ
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence across a variety of stakeholders at both a senior and junior level
- Proven experience managing teams with evidence of continuous operational improvement
- Possess a strong commercial mindset with proven ability to innovate and implement innovative changes where required to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business
