As a growing footwear business, MFG is looking for an experienced and motivated Area Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple stores in your region. You will be the driving force behind our business, ensuring that our stores are operating at peak efficiency and profitability.
The successful candidate will oversee a diverse location of stores across Sydney, the Central Coast and Port Macquarie.

- Proven experience as an Area Manager in the Retail Industry – Footwear experience is not essential
- Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Willingness to travel within your designated area - Sydney, Central Coast and Port Macquarie.
You will be responsible for managing and growing the retail operations in your assigned region, focusing on customer service, team performance and business profitability.
- Overseeing the daily operations for your region
- Ensure that each store is providing exceptional customer service
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and profitability across your region and collaborate with your Support Office stakeholders
- Creating a coaching mindset where open communication and teamwork are encouraged and valued
- A strong focus on your Store Managers' development and implementation of succession planning within your region and MFG
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth
- Monitor and manage inventory/stock levels
- Conducting regular store visits to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Analysing sales reports and providing feedback to your State Manager
- Training and developing your Store Managers to ensure consistent performance across all locations
