Arts and Culture Officer

- Generous salary above award up to $77,979.20 dependent on experience
- Flexible working arrangements, 35 hours per week, 9 day fortnight, including weekends for exhibitions and events

As the Arts and Culture Officer, you will play a pivotal role in planning and executing a diverse range of exhibitions, events, and projects within Kyogle’s Cultural Precinct, including the esteemed Roxy Gallery. Your work will contribute to the cultural vibrancy of our community while engaging with local artists, stakeholders, and residents to foster a thriving arts scene.

Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Visual Arts, Arts Administration, Museum Studies, Events Management, or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering Arts and cultural events or projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in marketing and promotion within the arts sector.
- Familiarity with grant application processes and grant management.
- Previous experience working in local government or community development settings.
