Duration : ASAP until 26 April 2024. Our team is excited to announce an urgent opportunity for a Logistics Officer to join a South Australian Government Department. This temporary role, under the T&C of Panel TS9991, is crucial for providing high-quality inventory and procurement services to our operational customers across a geographically dispersed area.
Position Description:
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate picking, packing, and delivery of goods, conducting stocktaking, and providing assistance to business partners as required. Additionally, the role involves conducting low-value procurement activities, administering purchasing and salvage activities efficiently, and ensuring inventory management accuracy. Key Responsibilities:
Contribute effectively to the team's goals and culture of service excellence.
Prioritise health and safety by adhering to WHS procedures and implementing risk mitigation measures.
Deliver exceptional customer service through accurate inventory management and timely support to business partners.
Conduct procurement activities efficiently and accurately, in line with organizational procedures.
Manage inventory effectively, ensuring accuracy in stocktaking and transaction processing.
Requirements:
Essential: Current Class C driver's license, proficient computer skills, understanding of procurement and inventory management procedures (or demonstrated ability to learn).
Desirable: Experience in inventory and store operations, technical or administrative qualifications, current high-risk forklift license.
Special Conditions: Flexibility with hours, some after-hours work, intra and interstate travel may be required. Candidates must undergo medical clearances and immunizations as relevant to the role.
Who You'll Work With: Key stakeholder relationships include service field personnel, external suppliers, project managers, other logistics personnel, and the Supply Chain Team. This is a full-time position with a competitive hourly rate, with potential extension based on the current employee's leave duration.
