Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for all Production/ Planning, Procurement and Logistics functions through the delivery of production planning and operating efficiencies to support sales and marketing activities and the achievement of budget targets. Leading by example you will be responsible for delivering exceptional production and logistics service levels to meet and exceed customer order expectations and delivery outcomes. Through your direct hands-on approach, you will also identify opportunities to increase throughput efficiencies and assisting the organisation to continue its growth agenda. Your focus will be on developing and achieving the company's high-level Production Service strategy, by building strong internal and external relationships, contributing to a harmonious team environment and being part of well-run and sophisticated enterprise. Specifically,
- Procurement and supply-chain activities
- Cost control and QA system management
- Production planning and scheduling
- Waste minimisation initiatives
- Export and Domestic shipping documentation
- Packaging, dry-goods, warehousing
The Successful Candidate
As the ideal candidate, you will have well-developed skills in a similar Procurement, Production, Planning, Logistics, roles, likely to have been gained within the Wine/ Beverage, FMCG sector. Strong Operational skills, experience and understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes and Quality Assurance, the ability to communicate with clarity and with a sense of urgency, you are a genuine "people-person" with strong leadership skills. You will thrive in delivering effective production management solutions and exceptional customer service.
