Assembly Supervisor

On the job training will be provided where necessary. 

Position Requirements

• Must be trade qualified. 
• Minimum of at least 5 years at supervisor level, managing staff.
• Understanding of and commitment to OH&S and QA policies and procedures.
• Experience in Hydraulics and Mechanics is required.
• Ability to understand schematics/CAD drawings and to trouble shoot issues.
• Experience with ERP systems would be an advantage.
• Forklift License (Essential)
• Australian Residency (Essential)

Qualifications Required

• Trade Certificate – Fitter or Fitter and Turner or other relevant trade.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Managing EWP and Cable Handling Assembly and Commissioning departments.
• Manage work through the workshop in accordance with the production schedules.
• Monitoring time on job and associated costs throughout the build
• Managing ERP requirements.
• Ensure work is carried out in the most efficient way and monitoring estimated production times against actual.
• Assist with parts shortages and sourcing alternatives, if required.
• Ensuring that apprentices are trained and are properly supervised.
• Assist assembly and commissioning teams with quality checks throughout the process.
• Liaise with senior members of the team to achieve on-time delivery and day to day workflow.
• Achieve section KPIs and positively contribute to achievement of factory performance KPIs.
• Ensure Company policies and procedures are followed.
