Ballina Community Health has an exciting career opportunity for a Health Clinician to join their Dementia Outreach Service team. This position will require the successful candidate to provide high quality services to clients with an early-stage dementia, their families and carers, as a member of the Far North Coast Dementia Outreach Service (DOS). Providing education to clients and families will be key to the role. Having a key role in community development and work in partnership with services providers that support this target group.
If you have:
- Tertiary qualifications and, where applicable, membership of the relevant association or registration with the relevant board, in one of the following disciplines: Social Work, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Nursing. To be appointed to a specific discipline and grade/level, please refer to the Essential Requirements section for registration and qualification requirements
- Demonstrated extensive specialist knowledge and experience in the area of Dementia (or extensive broad generalist knowledge and experience), including advanced clinical reasoning and ability to apply professional judgement when performing novel, complex or critical tasks
