Ryde Community Mental Health Service
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commences in early 2023, providing you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What you'll be doing
The Mental Health Clinician will deliver a high quality, comprehensive Mental Health service for adults experiencing serious and enduring Mental Health difficulties. The role involves managing a defined caseload with a focus on working with individuals who experience a complex range of needs and difficulties. Acting as a key member of the multi-disciplinary team, the Mental Health Clinician will provide assessment and evidence based interventions using a collaborative, recovery approach and will be skilled at positive risk management. Working closely in collaboration with carers and families, and liaison with a wide range of agencies is central to the role.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrate these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist or eligibility for membership with AASW.
- Demonstrated ability of putting people who experience Mental Health issues first and at the centre of practice and service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to support personal recovery and deliver recovery focused, evidence based interventions.
- Demonstrated ability to uphold the human rights of people experiencing Mental Health issues and challenging stigma and discrimination; advocating to address the poor and unequal living circumstances that adversely impact on recovery.
- A High level of written and verbal communication skills promoting a culture and language of hope and optimism.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
