The Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Asset & Maintenance Officer. This pivotal role involves ensuring the compliance, efficiency, and management of ALT's fleet and assets, supporting our operational goals while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management:
- Ensure compliance with all fleet management regulations and standards.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and servicing of company vehicles.
- Manage vehicle registrations, insurance, and leasing agreements.
- Monitor and report on fuel usage and costs.
- Schedule and coordinate vehicle deliveries and returns.
- Implement and manage GPS and telematics systems to track vehicle usage, location, and performance metrics.
- Support the acquisition and disposal of vehicles, aligning with financial and operational strategies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers, and other vendors.
- Asset Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of company assets.
- Coordinate the acquisition, deployment, and disposal of assets.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure proper use and maintenance of assets.
- Implement asset tracking systems and procedures.
- Generate reports on asset utilisation and performance for decision-making.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for fleet and asset management.
- Conduct data analysis to optimise asset utilisation and cost management.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Plan maintenance activities to minimise downtime and ensure continuous operation of manufacturing equipment.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Provide proactive leadership in Work Health and Safety.
- Ensure all vehicles and assets comply with safety regulations.
- Report all actual or potential hazards, near misses, and safety issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience managing a fleet of vehicles and company assets.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and asset tracking systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate detailed reports.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Certifications in fleet or asset management are desirable.
