The Opportunity:
This is an interesting and diverse role. Join our team as the Asset Management Officer and take on a vital role in the administration and management of the organisation’s assets and purchasing requirements. You will assist the Infrastructure and Procurement Manager in various capacities, ensuring the smooth operation and compliance of procurement, infrastructure, fleet management, insurance, commercial property leases, tenders, and contracts. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Procurement and Compliance: Assist with the implementation and management of the procurement program for Youturn, overseeing compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and processes.
- Infrastructure Management: Assist with the maintenance and quality management of the Youturn’s infrastructure and assets, including the Asset Management Plan.
- Fleet Management: Assist with the end-to-end management of Youturn’s motor vehicle fleet
- Financial and Budget Management: Assist with managing program budgets and financial reporting tasks.
- Insurance and Leases: Assist with the management and oversight of Youturn’s insurance requirements and oversee existing commercial property leases.
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field (preferred) and/or relevant experience in areas such as Asset Management or procurement.
- Demonstrated ability to provide infrastructure and procurement management services, including contract management and tender processes.
- Excellent organisational, time management, and multi-tasking skills, with proven attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, with a talent for building stakeholder relationships and working in partnership with internal and external groups.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with highly developed interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships and communicate with external parties, management, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using financial and customer management systems and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially, Word and Excel.
- Ability to take direction and carry out instructions as directed and complete tasks unsupervised.
- Work independently as part of a wider team in a fast-paced environment.
- Trustworthy, with a strong can-do attitude and demonstrated ability to work professionally and ethically.
Other Requirements:
- Successful applicants will also need to hold a ‘C’ class Open driver licence, State Working with Children Check and hold, or be eligible to apply for, a Licensed Care Suitability Check issued by the QLD Department of Child Safety, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs.
