Join the Queensland Corrective Services (QCS) team as a leader in asset management and capital works delivery!
We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Secure Facilities Asset Planning and Standards team. As a seasoned professional, you will provide expert guidance in asset management, forward planning, and program governance to support the growth and demand requirements of corrective services in Queensland.
As the Manager Secure Facilities and Asset Planning you be responsible for developing and implementing strategic asset plans aligned with government frameworks and industry best practices, driving continuous improvement in asset management through innovative programs and processes, and leading the capital budget build process and preparing submissions for major projects.
Additionally, you will represent QCS in government asset management forums, maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, develop and govern design standards for QCS infrastructure, and provide strategic advice on high-risk asset management categories and emerging technologies.
To be successful in this role:
- You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in capital works delivery and strategic Asset Planning, with a proven ability to analyse facilities issues and develop effective policy and strategy responses.
- You will also have strong knowledge of contemporary facilities design, maintenance, and budgeting issues, with experience in correctional facilities being desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to coordinate complex projects and apply strategic analysis and planning skills.
- Experience in project management methodologies and risk management strategies is also required.
