ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Advisor AtoN/ETC Asset Management, the Advisor AtoN Asset Management will be responsible for managing AMSA’s key service contracts for maintenance of AMSA’s Aids to Navigation (AtoN) network and provision of Emergency Towage Capability services. The role includes liaising with and managing AMSA’s service contractors, coordinating AtoN maintenance activities and resolving operational issues within AMSA’s AtoN network.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day operational relationships with AMSA’s key service providers, conducting negotiations with the contractors on issues associated with the standard of works, contract deliverables, reporting, and audits.
- Undertaking audits of contractor facilities and work conducted at AtoN sites as required.
- Investigating opportunities for improved asset performance and managing asset purchases where required.
- Ensuring documentation and data is correctly managed within AMSA’s information systems.
- Liaising with other agencies and stakeholders.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Relevant contract/project management qualifications, or relevant engineering or trade background with extensive contract/project management experience.
- Well-developed contract/project management skills including the ability to manage multiple contracts/projects.
- Experience in site-based auditing of external contractor works.
- Thorough understanding of contemporary safety, environmental and risk management practices.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft suite of software tools (Office, MS Teams etc).
