Heart of Australia is seeking to appoint an Asset Management and Operational Support Officer to join our team. This is a newly created role and will be key to the success of our operations.

The role
As an Operations Support and Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for managing our fleet of vehicles including our trucks – B-doubles and Multi-Combinations.
This is a permanent position based at our Chelmer Head Officer with some occasional travel.
The key responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Ensuring the trucks, trailers and vehicles are serviced, registered and roadworthy
- Coordinate routine repairs and breakdown maintenance
- Manage and develop maintenance and cleaning schedules for all trucks
- Apply for and obtain permits as applicable
- Assist with journey and route planning as required
- Monitor drivers and fatigue road safety ensuring compliance
- Manage the maintenance of medical equipment onboard the trucks
- Create and maintain the Company’s Asset Register
- Prepare and coordinate reports as required
About you
You will need to be familiar with various vehicles including prime movers and trucks. Ideally, you will have the following:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to troubleshoot and lead various situations
- High organisational skills
- Sound knowledge of transport rules and regulations
- Ability to scope new routes, parking locations and accessibility
- Comprehensive computer literacy for good record keeping
- MC licence a bonus, but not essential
