We are seeking an Asset Officer to join our Central Assets Team that is part of the Financial Accounting and Investment branch of CSIRO Finance.In this key position you will be responsible for the efficiency and accurate processing of asset related requests, building relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring that the Central Assets Team is providing a value-add service to both internal and external customersThis position will also offer the opportunity to be exposed to other arms of the Financial Accounting and Investment Branch.Your duties will include:
  • Contribute to the efficiency processing of asset related tasks using CSIRO's systems, including SAP and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Identify, query, and resolve potential issues associated with requests. This includes the considerations of the implications of a range of alternatives in order to select the most appropriate response to a problem of familiar or recurring nature.
  • Accurate maintenance of asset related records.
  • Accurately undertake and complete work with appropriate prioritisation and time management, adding value and looking for improvements in processes to ensure a high-level service delivery and performance.
  • Build effective working relationships across the Finance function and wider CSIRO, working within and across team(s) to achieve objectives and deliverables. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders in relation to requests made through the Central Assets Team.
Location: Open to be based from Canberra, Sydney (Marsfield site preferred) and Brisbane (St Lucia site preferred)Salary: AU$70,874 - AU$90,202 plus up to 15.4% superannuationTenure: Specified term of 2 yearsReference: 96830To be considered you will need:
  • A relevant accounting or finance certificate or working towards a tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
  • Demonstrated experience being proactive and using sound judgement and problem-solving skills to resolve issues
  • Pro-actively undertake and complete work with accuracy and timeliness including prioritisation of own tasks
  • Attention to detail and quality data input
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven ability to work well within a team to provide a high level of customer service
Desirable:
  • Skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
