- Temporary Full Time – up to 24 months.
- Clerk Grade 5/6
- Package up to $115,645.51 pa. Package includes salary range ($93,295 pa to $102,941 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
- Greenacre (Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite)
About the role:
The Asset Officer – IT Client Infrastructure uses asset management processes, practices and systems to deliver high quality services throughout the lifecycle of IT assets. Primarily focusing on IT hardware assets such as laptops, desktops and printers, the role’s accountabilities also include IT software and/or subscription assets.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Allocate unique asset IDs for tagging following organisational guidelines.
- Assist with ordering and invoicing of assets, accessories, and consumables from vendors.
- Data entry of new assets and maintain currency of IT assets in the asset management system (SAP) and configuration management database (CMDB).
- Contribute to IT Asset Replacement Project Team to enable adds, moves and changes of assets.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to plan and execute annual stocktake of assets.
- Facilitate physical disposal of assets at the end of their lifecycle through authorized vendors and decommission assets in the asset management system in line with standard operating procedures.
- Promote asset management and whole of lifecycle thinking to reduce costs and enable ROI.
- Collate, analyse and report on assets to assist with project planning and forecasts for asset replacement activities.
- Identify and escalate asset risks to enable the organisation to mitigate the risks to meet its obligations and realize value from its assets.
Key Knowledge and Experience:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience.
