The aim of this role is to contribute and assist our client's approach to asset management ensuring the acquisition and lifecycle management of assets to deliver the best value for the organisation in the provision of health services to the community.
The CADD Officer is integral in the creation of accurate electronic drawings and schematics and ensures conformance with data and information provisions to government and regulatory bodies. The CADD Officer will provide support to the Engineering, Maintenance and Document Control Teams by providing a drafting service, enhancing the quality and maintenance of documentation.
Responsibilities:
- The CADD Officer will work with CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) software to create drawings and schematics that can be viewed, printed, or programmed directly into building information modelling (BIM) systems.
- Maintain all aspects of drafting standards, documentation, and quality control for electronic CADD activities in 2D and 3D.
- Work with Senior staff and teams to draft the CADD concepts that are developed for a project and protect and sustain them through the project stages until the project is finalised.
- Complete complex drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
- Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications obtained from technical or project teams, including attending sites to review existing drawings and models.
- Work with technical staff regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation.
- Work closely with technical and project teams to ensure coordination design effort is maintained.
- Review drawings for completeness and accuracy to MSH and industry standards.
- Maintain currency and accuracy of all revisions of project drawings.
- Update and maintain a drafting log.
- Develop 3D models by analysing prototypes and 2D drawings. Preparation of Federated Models from rvt. / ifc to NWD files.
- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions for drafting and CAD.
- Train employees on how to use and access the drafting software and systems.
- Manage asset-system related initiatives and projects autonomously including planning, identifying resources, setting objectives, meeting objectives and producing an outcome.
- Manage external relationships to deliver on organisational objectives, facilitate sustainable service delivery and promote the service.
- The ability to work well and collaborate within a team environment.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive information and maintain data quality and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures

- Proven success in delivering high performing CAD designs and drawings to meet obligations in the context of asset management in a large, diverse and complex organisation.
- While not mandatory, experience with building information modelling (BIM) systems in both construction and design would be well regarded.
- While not mandatory, knowledge and experience of Revit Software, Navisworks, Revitzo 3D model outputs, BIM Processes and Bim 360 and Common Data Environments.
