Asset Protection Officer

We are seeking a diligent and vigilant Asset Protection Officer to join our team. As an Asset Protection Officer at The Reject Shop, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our stores, employees, and assets. You will be responsible for preventing theft, minimising losses, and maintaining a safe shopping environment for our customers.

What you’ll do:

• Manage investigations of incidents of Crime and Risk in stores and DC’s through the use of internal CCTV, reporting and trend analysis.
• Work in conjunction with the external supplier to monitor and maintain the CCTV and associated security systems
• Lead, coordinate and provide reporting on the management of the business CCTV platform and associated security systems, ensuring the ongoing functionality, configuration adjustments and effectiveness are within budget.
• Collaborate and be a key stakeholder in all new security & Asset Protection systems initiatives to ensure delivery to budget and timelines
• Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to Asset Protection and loss prevention.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, or law enforcement preferred.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of CCTV systems and other security equipment.
