Planned Resources require an Asset Protection Permits Officer to join an inner eastern Melbourne council on a short-term contracted basis.
As an Asset Protection Permits Officer, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Asset Protection and Permits team, utilising individual discretion within established parameters to address service requests pertaining to Local Laws and pertinent Acts and Regulations, while adhering to agreed-upon procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and complete the application process for all required permits and licenses.
- Monitor and manage permit and license renewals to ensure they are up to date.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to permits and licenses.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address any compliance issues.
- Provide guidance to the management team on permit-related matters and potential legal risks.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for audits and inspections.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act and other relevant council Regulations.
- Experience in reading, designing, implementing, and assessing traffic management plans
- Demonstrated knowledge in the role of Permits Officer or a relatable fields
- Traffic Controller experience is a bonus
